VICTORIA UNIVERSITY CELEBRATES END OF YEAR PARTY IN STYLE AT SPEKE RESORT MUNYONYO POOL SIDE
After a year of massive achievements, Victoria University last Saturday 1st December 2018celebrated its end of year party in style at Speke Resort Munyonyo Pool side. Students of Victoria University were treated a glamorous end of year party.
The University Vice Chancellor Dr. Krishna N. Sharma acknowledged that 2018 has been a good year. However, they are not satisfied as a University because “we haven’t reached that level that we want as a university,” he told media in an interview on the sidelines of the party.
“He said this year’s 2018 focus has been on establishing partnerships so next year’s 2019 focus will be on introducing e-learning and that this shows that the University is growing,” Dr. Krishna said at the End of Year Party of the University.
On the academic side, Dr. Sharma further said students have published over 35 publications. Victoria University this year was also able to finalize with a Memorandum of Understanding with Coventry University to teach trainers of trainers in the oil and gas sector at Kichwamba Technical Collage in Kabarole.
“We have finished with the curriculum and we are hopeful that next year, it will be executed,” he added.
The University Guild President –Her Excellency Maria Peggy Nabunya described the concluding year as a great year. She then wished her mates a happy festive season.
Speaking at the event, the University Vice Chancellor-Dr. Krishna N. Sharma congratulated the students from completing their exams and that this was a way of congratulating them and also wishing them a happy festive season.
The occasion was crowned with a performance and Don Andre Jr through his comedy, plus a dinner and dance that was opened by the Vice Chancellor. This all took place on Saturday 1st December 2018, a day that has gone down in the annals of our University and will always be cherished by the beneficiaries.
“Saturday was lovely and couldn’t have wished for anything better,”” Victoria University Rotary President and Student Neima Alexander said.
