Victoria University partners with Wizarts media to equip students with digital journalism practice

Today 18th May it was sign of joy filled at one of Uganda’s higher institution of learning Victoria University. A memorandum of understanding agreement has been signed between Victoria University and Wizarts media in the boardroom earlier today.

This mark was in line with how our journalism students will benefit from constant industry engagement through apportioned working hours at Wizarts media, building their skills and also creating industry networks from which they will build career.

Wizarts media has been well sourced and will be a key player in the student’s various fields. Wizarts media on the other hand is a 360 media warehouse where our students will obtain total media experience throughout their academic life at the University.

This without doubt is a unique selling point for the university courses going forward, one can join in the preparations of such unique facility. Opening remarks by the University Academic Registrar, appreciated the initiative saying that with this agreement and collaboration, Victoria university students will be able to relate to the real world.

Students will be able to build their research and knowledge skills in different fields Wizarts media was represented by Sam Bunya the Operations office and Tisha Mperize – Sales and marketing standing in for the CEO of Wizarts media.

Mr. Sam Bunya said that this is a wonderful opportunity to impact the people of media students and the journalism at large .They get to experience the real world, and in class students are sheltered with many experiences.

Together we shall do symposium offering of internship, do corporate social responsibility as well as skill trainings.
